Dubai, Jul 20: Dubai Yakshagana Abhyasa Tharagati (DYAT) held Guru Pooje-Guru Vandana and inaugurated their new teaching classes for the year 2022-23 at Fortune Plaza banquet hall, Dubai on July 17.
Senior artiste Bhavani Shanker conducted prayers, rituals and distributed prasada. Ladies members performed bhajans.
The programme was set in motion in the presence of well-known Tulu Kannada film director Rajendra Singh Babu, Tulu drama artiste Vijayakumar Kodialbail, orator Ganesh Rai, Gammath Kalavider team president Rajesh Kuthar, teachers Bhavani, Shanker Sharma, Venkatesh Shastri Puthige, Jayananda Pakkala, Vasu Shetty, convener Kottinje Dinesh Shetty, teachers Shekar D Shettigar Kinnigoli, Girish Narayana Katipalla and Balakrishna Shetty Madu. The guests conveyed their wishes for the programme.
Yakshagana artiste Krishnaprasad Surathkal presented poems by Mayur Naika and Ananda Salian. Savinaya Nellitheertha, Bhavani Shanker Sharma, Venkatesh Shastri and Aditya Dinesh Shetty provided background music.
Students Srisha Prabhaker Poojary and Vaishnavi Mahohar presented poems by Divit Kotian. Students offered Guruvandane by means of Padapooje and presented fruits and flowers to teachers.
A play titled Sri Krishna Oddolaga and Durudakshine was performed. Krishnaprasad Rao Surathkal, Venkatesh Shastri, Bhavanishanker Sharma Savinaya Nellitheertha, Aditya Dinesh Shetty, Bhasker Poojary Neermarga, Anand Salian Kinnigoli, Krishna-Adithi Dinesh Shetty, Sainath Shetty, Prabhaker Poojary, Sanvi Mohan Gujaran, Samanta Girish Narayana, Sharath Saralaya, Ravindra Kukyan, Swati Sathosh Kateel, Sathish Shettigar Vitla, Atharva Vasanth Shetty, Samantha Girish Narayana and Swati Saralaya cooperated in the entertainment.
Class convener Dinesh Shetty Kottinja welcomed the guests and compered the programme. Multitalented student Girish Narayana gave details of the cultural programme and rendered a vote of thanks. Prabhaker Suvarna Karnire sponsored the Annasantarpane. The parents and the activist’s participation helped in the success of the programme.
