I am not in the least surprised that such an accident occurred. No need to suspect any foul play. If one visits the area that stretches from Polali bridge to Belloor, one would notice how uneven the land is. Our hard working ancestors through their hard work have created those rice fields on the ledges of the hills wherever possible. Most rice fields are not more than a few feet in dimension. This must be one such field where this unfortunate worker went to gather the shell fish, locally known as ನರ್ತೆ. If he slips and falls, he may land on a rock or in another small field several feet below. That's exactly what must have happened. We are extremely sorry for the family. May his soul rest in eternal peace.
