Mangaluru: National level symposium ‘Samanvay’ held at Milagres College

Mangaluru, Jul 21: Department of Commerce and Internal Quality Assurance Cell of Milagres College in association with Mangalore University Commerce Teachers’ Association (MUCTA) organized a day-long national level symposium ‘Samanvay 2022’, an investor awareness programme at Milagres College on Thursday July 21.

Addressing the gathering, Dr Donald Lobo, associate professor, St Aloysius College said, “This programme is a wonderful opportunity for budding investors. If you work for investment, then investment will work for us. The investors need to know the purpose of the investment and concentrate on growth investment.”

Prof Manoj Louis, general secretary MUCTA said, “The take away from the symposium is to become financially independent and good investor. Invest today for betterment of future.”

Senior branch manager Franklin Templeton asset management India Pvt Ltd, Leo Amal, vice principal Cassin Rodrigues, coordinator IQAC Eva Manorama, student coordinator Mohammed Shabeeb and Florida Almeida and others were present.

Fr Michael L Santhumayor, principal, Milagres College welcomed the gathering, conference coordinator Glanciya Fernandes rendered the vote of thanks and Joston Vincent D’Souza compered the event.

The formal function was followed by sessions on financial literacy, time value of money – when to start investing and personal investment planning.
