Puttur: Light vehicle movement resumes on Shiradi Ghat, others still prohibited

Puttur, Jul 22: The Hassan deputy commissioner took out an order allowing the movement of light vehicles to access Shiradi Ghat on NH 75 between Mangaluru and Bengaluru. However, prohibition of too heavy vehicle movement will still continue.

All light vehicles and goods vehicles up to 20 tonne capacity can pass through the Ghat between 5 am to 6 pm. From 5 pm to 6 am, only ambulances and fire service vehicles are allowed.

The movement of vehicles above 20 tonne capacity is completely prohibited till further notice.

    Only Chicken and cats are allowed. Cows, dogs, buffaloes, and elephants are not allowed. All requested to perform Bommie pooja immediately to cross.
