Daijiworld Media Network – Bantwal (MS)

Bantwal, Jul 22: Two cows were found in the back seat of a car at an inner road which connects Kepu Kallangala to Toranakatte near Vittal in the taluk on Friday July 22.

The car which was found parked has both its front and back windshields broken. The two cows were found in the car.

As the Vittal police reached the spot, the cow thieves escaped from the spot. The road where the car is found connects with Saradka check post and it is suspected that the cows were being trafficked through the check post itself.

These days no check posts have thorough checkup. That too passenger vehicles no way. Check posts lack resources like manpower , scanning machines etc

The operations of these guys is difficult to understand.... They are risking a car for two cows... That way this business is cumbersome and onerous... But it is sad and cruel that poor animals are subjected to such trauma... Also the cows must be attached to the household where they belong and surely they must be poor people depending on the cows for daily bread...

I agree with you. Animals also have emotions, just type "chimpanzee siblings reunite" in search box and watch the video.
