Goods train derails near Mangaluru Junction railway station

Mangaluru, Jul 23: A goods train derailed near Kankanady railway station on late night of Friday July 22. Two bogies got derailed and hit the pole that was beside the railway track.

The incident took place at 10.35 pm on Friday.

Two goods wagon got derailed at Point No. 61 at Mangaluru Junction. The schedule of passenger carrying trains in this section was not affected due to the incident.

Accident Relief Train from Mangaluru Central reached Mangaluru Junction for the restoration of track and rerailing.
