Udupi: Drug Development, Regulatory Science course launched at Prasanna School of Public Health

Udupi, Jul 23: Prasanna School of Public Health (PSPH), Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), Manipal, has invited applications for executive training programme on Drug Development and Regulatory Science.

The executive program is jointly designed and delivered by the Centre for Regulatory Science, PSPH, MAHE in collaboration with the European Center of Pharmaceutical Medicine (ECPM), University of Basel, and Roche, India. The program aims to enhance the knowledge and awareness of candidates in drug regulatory activities and to provide a comprehensive overview of the development, regulation, and market introduction of modern medications.

Working professionals in the pharmaceutical ecosystem (biotechnology companies, CROs, pharmaceutical companies, regulatory agencies, government agencies, generic industry, academia, etc.) are eligible to take up the course. This empowers candidates looking to specialize in Regulatory Affairs and get a broad overview of current topics and future trends in drug development.

The course consists of six modules run over twelve months and each module is conducted every two months over the weekends.

“To be a successful regulatory professional you need to understand all stages of drug development, the related regulations and how to enable the evolving innovations that aim to make the drug development process more efficient, this course will give you the right tools to gain this understanding and take your career in drug development and regulatory affairs to the next level”, said Dr Lada Leyens, coordinator, centre for regulatory science, PSPH and senior director regulatory & program director, Roche.
