Udupi: Six travellers with Kerala monkey pox patient under observation

Udupi, July 25: There were six people from Udupi who had travelled with the first monkey pox infected person from Kerala. All of them have been kept under observation.

Speaking in this connection, Udupi deputy commissioner Kurma Rao M said that there are no reports of people with monkey pox symptoms in the district. “But all the government and district hospitals have been directed to take precautions,” he said.

Dr Nagaratna, district survey officer told daijiworld that several people from Udupi district travelled in the aircraft in which the Kerala based monkey pox infected person travelled. “They have been quarantined. However, as six of them travelled sitting close to him, they were kept under close observation. None of them has monkeypox symptoms though the duration of their quarantine is about to expire,” she said.

    Why this Monkey pox is in non BJP ruled states only ??? For example, it is noticed in Kerala, Telangana, Delhi , so far.

    Simple reason. States that are testing are finding cases, states that are not bothered to test will have no cases. It has probably spread to most states since people are travelling from abroad.
