Dubai, Jul 26: A musical treat awaits people in Dubai as Bandscape is set to perform its first-ever live concert in Dubai on July 30. The musical extravaganza will be held at the Grand Ballroom, Hotel Movenpick Bur Dubai. The event is called 'Good Evening Dubai' and is presented by Tru Events.
Tru Events is a professional event planning company that specializes in corporate events, dinner galas, fundraisers, conferences and private events etc.
About Bandscape
A bunch of talented musicians from the coast of Mangaluru, met on the coast of Dubai, and that is how Bandscape was born. Having a plethora of talent and skill, the band promises to entertain and leave the audience spell bound after any performance. The band comprises of passionate and promising musicians, who believe in creating music which resonates in the hearts of people. It is a team of dedicated musicians and excellent performers.
The members
Joel Rebello
Joel is one of the producers of the Album 'Mog Asom' which comprised of the famous song 'Ye Naari Ye' featuring Remo Fernandes. He also happens to be one of the producers of the super hit album of the year 2017, 'Mog Asom 2' which features celebrities such as Armaan Mallik, Lt Bappi Lahiri, Usha Uthup, Gurukiran, Gonzaga Coutinho and many more.
The album was awarded the best Konkani album of the year at the World Konkani Music Awards held at Goa in 2020. He is also one of the music directors of the Tulu blockbuster movies 'Girgit' (which has got featured as Top 9 must watch movies by 'India Film Project') and 'Gamjaal'. Joel has worked as a backing vocalist for the legendary Bollywood singer, actor and music director, Lucky Ali. He has also created television commercials, ad concepts and caller tunes for many major clients.
With his unique voice and immense passion for performing, Joel always managed to steal the hearts of the audience.
Darrel Mascarenhas
Darrel Mascarenhas hails from Puttur, currently living in Dubai. He has a Masters Degree in Sound Engineering from Full Sail University, (USA) which is the world’s top university for film, gaming and sound. He worked as a music composer and sound designer for gaming industry from 2016 to 2020. Darrel is known for his music and BGM for the superhit Tulu movie Girgit and the Award winning Konkani album Mog Asom 2 which won the best album of the year at World Konkani Music Awards in Goa. Darrel also won the Best Music Arranger award at Global Konkani Music Awards at Mandd Sobhann.
Darrel has worked with several Bollywood singers like Sonu Nigam, Armaan Malik, Mika Singh, Bappi Lahiri, Shreya Ghoshal, Vijay Prakash to mention few.
He is currently working as a senior music composer and sound designer for Bloomberg News.
Patson Pereira
Patson started his music career at the age of 8. He initially started performing for various shows as a drummer then gradually as a keyboardist andm guitarist and later performed for various bands around the globe . He is also a grade holder in music in instruments like Guitar, Drums and Keyboard from the Trinity College, London and also worked as a sound engineer on various live shows and studios across the globe.
Patson has been a music director for various movies and albums. He has also rendered his guitar playing to various other movies and album projects. He has worked as sound engineer, composer, music director and producer for Bollywood and Sandalwood celebrities. Melwyn Antony Dsouza (MAD)
Melwyn has pursued his degree in Carnatic music, Art and Culture. Melwyn is an amazing lead vocalist/composer/lyricists and with his extreme high notes, he is well known to sweep the audience off their seats and bring them to the dance floor. Over the years he has written amazing lyrics and sung for several projects and jingles.
He is known to lift the mood of the event with his vibrant performance and has been known in his friend circles as ‘rock star’ who also call him ‘Mika Singh of Mangaluru’.
He has performed for music concerts at National and International Level ( UK, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Oman, Kuwait and Qatar )
Arun D’almeida
Popularly known as Ghatagaar on social media, is the founding partner and station manager of RADIO Daijiworld, which is a community based online radio, playing Konkani music 24X7. Arun is a passionate musician, specializing in bass and a professional sound engineer, with 20 plus years in the media and entertainment industry.
Rochelle Dsa
Rochelle Dsa is the female lead vocalist who is a Chartered Accountant by qualification and has a diverse profile.
With a passion for training, she is also a voice actor, lyricist and voice over artiste blessed with an immensely creative mind.
With her love for music and her beautiful voice, Rochelle adds her own unique flavour to the band.
Guitar Maestro Alwyn Fernandes will be featuring with Bandscape as a guest performer for the event.
Lancy Dsouza, managing director of Tru Events said that this event is one of its kind in UAE where all family members can come together and enjoy good music along with some good food.
Preethi Dsouza will host the event. The event is going to be filled with Music, Fun, Spot Games and much more. The tables for the event are already sold out and Bandscape is ready to Rock Dubai on Saturday, July 30.
