Mangaluru: Stepfather rapes minor daughter while wife was away for delivery

Mangaluru, Jul 26: A stepfather has reportedly raped his nine-year-old daughter in Pavoor of Ullal police station limits.

The Konaje station police have arrested Ashwath (25), in this connection. The family had migrated from outside the district and were staying at Pavoor. The mother of the child was living with Ashwath after her husband died.

As the woman was admitted to a hospital for delivery, only the girl and the man were in the house. The man raped the girl and the matter came to light when the girl was admitted to hospital due to severe bleeding.

Konaje police have arrested Ashwath. A case in this connection is registered at Pandeshwar women’s police station.

    Wilma Lewis Mangalore You are asking why they are marrying?Just because a lady without a husband and a child are a free wild for men to hunt .Second with a small girl and she is young ,why not marry if a second when she finds a good man?Not all are so beasts.But with a nine year old girl ,only such can think as child ,not a sex object.Hard ,a beast ,without any mercy.Poor child .He didnt think she is a child still.Spoiled her childhood ,spoiled her future.spoiled her mothers life too.He should be jailed for ever.Never allow him to come out.Or he should be hanged.

    Disgusting to hear 9 year old girl raped. Did he get married to the female to rape the step daughter as and when oportunity arises. Where are we heading now a days. He needs severe punishment and behind bars for lifelong ,otherwise he will try to do the same with other innocent girls .
