Bengaluru, Jul 26: Karnataka on Tuesday, July 26, reported 1,425 new coronavirus cases.
As per the bulletin released by the state health department, the active cases in the state stands at 8,861. Bengaluru urban's single-day tally at 1,198.
One death was reported due to coronavirus in the state on Tuesday. The death toll in the state has risen to 40,092.
The state recorded 1,459 discharges from hospitals on Tuesday, taking the total discharges to 39,49,147.
So far, Karnataka has seen 39,98,142 positive cases since the start of the pandemic in March 2020.
The positivity rate for the day stands at 6.15%, as many as 11,52,69,050 people have received vaccination so far.
