Udupi, Jul 28: Padubidri police arrested Yasin (19), son of Abdul Rehman, resident of Hejamadi Alade, under POCSO, on the accusation of sexually assaulting a minor girl in an apartment twice. He was produced in the court here.

A minor boy, who cooperated with Yasin, was also taken into custody and sent to child care.

Yasin allegedly asked the minor girl to come by bus and then called her to come to his apartment in Hejamady where he is residing. He sexually assaulted the minor girl on the terrace of the house. Locals who suspected something to be wrong, informed the matter to Padubidri police. The cops raided the apartment on time and saved the girl.

A case is filed against the accused as per the complaint raised by father of victim girl. An auto rickshaw which was used to ferry the girl is also confiscated.
