Mangaluru, Jul 29: Deputy commissioner Dr K V Rajendra has ordered all the urban local bodies and gram panchayats to close down the shops at 6 pm to 6 am from July 29 onwards till August 1 morning.
The order came after tension prevailed in the district following 3 brutal murders in the last 10 days.
Emergency services/hospital/medical shops are exempted and can be operated during this period.

Ban on sale of liquor in Bantwal, Puttur, Beltangady, Sullia and Kadaba taluk will continue from July 29 to 8 am on August 1.
Section 144 is extended from 12 am on July 29, to 12 am on August 6 in Bantwal, Puttur, Beltangady, Sullia and Kadaba taluk.
