Mysuru, July 29: At a time when politicians of all parties are busy commenting on the murders in the coastal region, Large and Medium Industries minister Murugesh R Nirani has ‘’caught’’ a tiger – well, almost!
Joining in the celebrations of World Tigers Day, Nirani has adopted a female tigress Manya at the Karnataka Zoo Authority in Mysuru by a paying Rs 2 lakh contribution for a year.




The tigress Manya has been adopted in the name of Nirani’s grandson Samarth M Vijay Nirani.
Karnataka Zoo Authority chairman Shivakumar lauded the initiative of Nirani family and said the public should emulate his example to help the animals in the zoo.
