July 30: Dakshina Kannada reports 13 Covid cases, 15 infections in Udupi

Mangaluru/Udupi, Jul 30: Dakshina Kannada on Saturday July 30, reported 13 new coronavirus cases while 15 cases were registered in Udupi.

The total number of positive cases in the Dakshina Kannada district has risen to 1,36,230 out of which 88 are currently active. As many as 8 patients were discharged on July 30.

No deaths were reported on July 30. The death toll in the district so far stands at 1,854.

The district administration has urged people to strictly continue maintaining social distance in public places and wear masks when stepping out of the house. Anyone not wearing a mask would be fined by the authorities.

Positivity rate for the day stood at 1.54 percent.

So far, the district administration has collected Rs 1,16,05,880 as fine in 96,212 incidents of mask violation.

Udupi

15 coronavirus cases were reported on July 30. The total active Covid cases are 37. Two patients were discharged on July 30.

A total of 10,89,866 people have received the first dose of vaccination and 10,81,736 have received both doses and 1,70,303 people have received booster doses.

Udupi reported nine cases, Karkala two and Kundapur four. All the 15 cases were symptomatic. 14 cases are in home isolation and one in designated Covid health hospital.
