Kasargod: Stones pelted at trains by gang of miscreants – Two injured

Kasargod, Jul 31: Miscreants pelted stones at Eriyal and Cherangai of the district on running trains which resulted in injury of two passengers.

Stones were thrown on Mangaluru-Kannur and Mangaluru-Thiruvananthapuram trains. Passengers reported to railway police that they had seen five boys running away after throwing stones.

Pelting of stones on trains in this part of the district has been going on for a long time.

In addition, a few days ago, stones were kept on the railway track at Bandyodu Muttam of Kasargod district, Kotikulam near Bekal and Pappinacherry of Kannur districts. But the stones were removed from tracks on time and major tragedies averted.
