Kasargod: Auto rickshaw topples in roadside drain; one dead, three injured

Kasargod, Aug 2: An auto rickshaw lost control of its driver and toppled in a roadside drain near Mogral Puttur. One labourer died and three others were injured in the mishap.

The deceased is Honnappa Poojara (31), a native of Gadag's Sitarahalli. He was staying at Meepuguri, Soorlu, in the city outskirts.

Three people including auto rickshaw driver, Bullur resident Zubair (33) were injured. The vehicle overturned at Edacheri, Kambar road, Mogral Puttur. The bystanders pulled the injured who were trapped in the vehicle and shifted them to the hospital.

Out of them, Honnapa succumbed to his injuries.

His mortal remains are kept at Kasargod General Hospital morgue.

His relatives who were informed have reached Kasargod.
