The incident took place at Belapu, Kaup taluk. Eighty-year-old Krishna alias Kutti Shetty, and his wife, 75-year-old year old Revathi Shetty is the couple who had their funeral together.

Krishna died on Tuesday August 2 morning and his wife Revathi passed away on Wednesday August 3 morning. They have left behind two sons and two daughters.

Krishna died due to age-related ailments. As his children are residing in Mumbai and other places, his mortal remains were kept at his original residence with necessary facilities and shifted to his own residence on the arrival of his children. His wife collapsed and died soon afterwards.

The funeral was held in the presence of their children and family members under the leadership of social activist Soori Shetty in the crematorium prepared on the land near the residence of Belapu Dhomappa Shetty.

Reshmi Salian, do you know the meaning of mind blowing? The Word is used when most surprising incidents happen. It is not restricted only for happy moments.

Reshmi you are absolutely right. It is surprising that people call tragic news as mindblowing news. Guys go to school again. Phrases are used to differentiate sad and happy moments.

Not everyone is as privileged to be able to go to school or learn in a posh english medium institution. We learn something new everyday. And mind-blowing can be used to describe a sad event...... just that it's not commonly used in such circumstances....... If you want to sponsor my education from 1st standard to whichever year you feel like someone will become fluent in english literature like you, then sponsor right away. Set aside some for you too so that you can learn value education and learn to be nice to people and correct them properly...Did you extend your sympathy as a mark of your respect ? Only creating controversies.....
