Kasargod biker Amrita Joshi who rode countrywide spreading unity feted in Bengaluru

Bengaluru, Aug 3: Vikas Trust of the residents of Kasargod, Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike and Karnataka Border Area Development Authority (KBADA) jointly held a unique programme on August 2 at the Dr Rajkumar Glass Hall in BBMP central office premises here on August 2.

On the eve of India’s platinum jubilee celebrations, Amrita Joshi (21) was felicitated in the programme. Amrita has toured the country all by herself on a bike during the last three months spreading the message of unity and for integrity of the country. She covered 22,000 kilometres travelling to North East India, Kashmir and reached her hometown Kasargod via Bengaluru and Shivamogga.

BBMP’s Tushar Girinath and senior businessman T V Mohandas Pai were present. Dr C Somashekar, president of Karnataka Border Development authority presided over the programme.
