Udupi, Aug 4: A man who created a revolution in education by establishing a modern educational institution in a rural area like Harady in Brahmavar, Prakashchandra Shetty, founder and president of the G M Vidyanikethan School, celebrated his birthday on Thursday, August 4 in a simple manner at the school campus.

The students of the institution presented him a beautiful greeting and wished him on his birthday.

Brahmachari K N, principal of the school wished the president and said, "The ideologies of Gandhiji and Vivekananda have influenced us. Likewise, the simplicity and works of Prakashchandra Shetty are a true inspiration for us. He is such a simple person, He always responds positively to the students, parents and faculties."

Prashanth Nayak, school counsellor, said, "The vision and thoughts of Prakashchandra are profoundand different. That is how G M school achieved a lot in a short span of time. I wish that all his future projects may come true in the coming days."

After lighting the lamp on his birthday, Prakashchandra Shetty thanked everyone who played a part in all achievements, He said, "It is my privilege to celebrate your love and happiness with everyone from the day the GM organization was started, Birthday comes in everyone's life. On that day we should remember our parents, God and our teacher. We should share love with our parents freely. My father Monappa and mother Gulabi have guided me through all my achievements and the teachers who showed me the path. Hence, all of you should look upto your parents as role models."

The faculties and students wished their favorite school correspondent with song and dance performances.
