Bangalore, Apr 7: Janardhan Poojary, former union finance minister and veteran Congress leader challenged Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa that he would quit politics if the BJP wins the forthcoming by-elections in three constituencies of Bangarapete, Jagalur and Chennapattana.
Addressing the media persons here on Thursday April 7, Janardhan Poojary who has arrived to campaign in these three constituencies said that if BJP wins in all the three constituencies, he would quit politics. However, he sought the resignation of CM Yeddyurappa if BJP fails to win at least in one constituency among the three.
Meanwhile, Janardhan Poojary urged CM Yeddyurappa to accept the open challenge posed by him. Further, he said that it’s due to the Operation Lotus by the BJP-led state administration, the need to hold the by-elections have arisen in the state.
Meanwhile, he urged the sensible voters of these three constituencies to teach a lesson to BJP by voting against them.
"Although, there are several allegations of corruption on CM Yeddyurappa, he continues to stick to the power in disgrace," stated Poojary adding that Yeddy seems to be more powerful than the BJP high command who dare not to sack him.
