The deceased is identified as Nagesh Gowda (65), a resident of Ukkuda Kanthadka. He went missing six months ago and a case in this connection was filed at Vittal police station.

Villagers, who went to the said hill on August 8 in order to collect grass, saw the skull, bones and clothes. They informed the family members of the deceased person who in turn informed the matter to Vittal police station.
