Mumbai: Amratha Ajay Shetty promoted as principal of Kannada Bhavana

Mumbai, Aug 13: Amratha Ajay Shetty, teacher of Kannada Bhavana Education Society is promoted as principal of KBES high school and junior college here from August 1. She was appointed as principal as L Radhakrishnan, the current principal opted for voluntary retirement.

Amratha Shetty is holding a postgraduate degree in history and a degree in education. She also holds a post graduate degree in Kannada and a diploma in school management. She has been teaching History, English and Kannada so far.

Amratha Shetty is an artiste of Yakshagana and drama. She is also a programme organizer. She is the vice president of Bantara sangha Mumbai Kurla Bhandup regional ladies wing. Several local organizations have honoured her for her achievements.

She is the daughter of Udupi Ninjur Padumane Jayaram Shetty and Nandalike Gundyadkaguthu Shambhavi Shetty. She is the wife of Eradi Marnadu Ajay Shetty and resides at Vikhroli west at present.
