Mangaluru, Aug 18: Chargesheet is filed against lawyer K S N Rajesh in the third JMFC court in the city on the accusation of attempt to sexually harass a girl law student.
In the chargesheet that is submitted in the court, it is mentioned that on the afternoon of September 25, 2021, Rajesh tried to sexually harass the girl law student who had come for internship at this Karangalpady office. The girl student escaped from him. Rajesh threatened her with life. In addition, he also took signature from her by force on the document requesting the president of Bar association of Mangaluru to end the complaint filed by her on him.

Later, accused Rajesh also took signature from the friend of the victim by force in order to cover up his act. He also made an audio about the act in order to cover up the same.
The chargesheet also mentions that Rajesh got the CCTV installed in his office connected to his mobile. When the victim used to work in the office, Rajesh used to see her personal work with an eye of sexual favour. Anantha Bhat and Achyutha Bhat provided him shelter. As many as 110 people are shown as witnesses in the chargesheet.
Considering the seriousness of of the offence, city police commissioner N Shashi Kumar handed over the case to the then ACP Ranjit Bandaru. Later, the investigation was continued by ACP Dinakar Shetty and chargesheet was filed.
