Bengaluru: KMF likely to increase price of milk by Rs three per litre

Bengaluru, Aug 30: The price of milk is likely to be dearer by Rs three per litre soon.

A proposal in this regard is placed in front of the state government by Karnataka Milk Federation (KMF), as per the information provided by its managing director B C Sathish.

President and administrative board of KMF met chief minister Basavaraj Bommai and explained the ordeal faced by them. Sathish said that Bommai has responded positively to their appeal.

    Already the milk is not that much thick which we get in north India, so my opinion is instead of increasing price, it would have been better to dilute by little water ,so it will not be a burden to poor peoples.

    Why KMF is not resorting to shrinkflation like FMCG sector; example of Parle Glucose biscuits same price but quantity reduced from 100 gm to 55 gm to fool the gullible public!

    Milk contains protein, fat, carbohydrates, vitamins, and minerals which is essential for children's health and and energy. We can mange with black coffee or tea. What government is doing is just snatching from people. Now the cows population being increased in many folds, milk production too must have increased in proportionately and instead of reducing the prices they are so reckless and non considerate on people's difficulties. Government need to subsidies the retails price and should open cooperative Milk booths at convenient places (outlets) to help public to collect their provision on a daily basis.

    Govt is just increasing the rates what mostly used by common people ....Lets not blame. We will switch on to black tea. Good for health. Dont use lemon. Aese hee lemons ka bhaav bahut he.....isliye. samajdaari se kaam kare aur hamara paisa bachaye. I started having black tea when rates were increased few months before. Follow me
