Byndoor, Aug 30: Police arrested a youth, who kidnapped a girl and sexually exploited her.
The arrested youth is identified as Sachin Kharvi, a native of Uppunda.
On August 18, around 8 pm, when the mother of the victim girl was in the kitchen, Sachin allegedly entered the house and kidnapped the girl. After sexually harassing her, he tried to commit suicide by consuming poison meant to kill cockroaches.
The accused was admitted to hospital. Once he recovered and got discharged, police arrested and produced him in the court.
Byndoor police are investigating further.
