Udupi: 36-year-old goes missing from Belapu, complaint filed

Udupi, Aug 30: A woman who said that she is going to a laundry shop, is reportedly missing from Belapu under Shirva police station limits from August 25.

Asha (36), told her neighbour that she is going to the laundry shop to give the clothes for ironing and did not return home.

On the same day in the afternoon, she called her husband from some unknown mobile phone and said that she does not like to live with him and she will live by herself. After the call, Asha could not be traced.

Asha had left the house on earlier occasion also and was found later. A case at that time was registered in Manipal police station.

In this incident, Shirva police have registered missing case as per complaint filed by her husband Subrahmanya.

    Cynthia, you have misunderstood my comment, it's a generic one and clearly applies to both genders! The gist of my comment was the drastic fall of moral values, tolerance levels, patience, etc. and the ease with which people mingle without any guilt pangs! I have worked with MNC cos as well as call centers and I have seen with my own eyes the way things are going on, appears like the marital oath has become a joke, hence the comments! Enticing and getting enticed can be both ways! But they say the male is polygamous by Nature, how true I cannot say. Money and physical attraction, with present day casual attitude, play a very big role in this! I don't want to delve further and comment on what's going on inside families in current times! My comments are purely generic and describe the current state of affairs and not speculative to any particular incident as reported!!

    Asha Ji, must have differences with her husband or financial/personal problems so she decided to leave him and live separate for her mental peace. It could be for many other reasons so she left for good and if she feels lonely in sometime she might return or live her life as she wish. Since police complaint has been filed now, they may trace her somewhere soon and legal issues to follow.

    Flavian Kuwait,We dont know her problems.Since she had been once gone out and traced back and now again ,she must be fed up with situation at her husbands house.Definately she will not come.No need of tracing her Why when she doesnt want?She told her husband she will not come back.Suppose one brings her back she may commit suicide or husband might do harm ?Try to kill? Mostly these couples are match makers product.I am sure they are not fallen in love and married.Many couples are later dont match each other and only struggling ,or fighting everyday .Let her be happy when she doesnt want to come or when feels come back.

    Who entice them? Who provocates them to do do ? Its men only right ? Even at home men only harrass them. If men are correct and loving his wife, she will never run. Instead, she will bring to the notice of her husband or family. Men should know to control their lust first and not to blackmail the ladies by false/fake promises. Rudy sir, dont point the finger at ladies...Definitely, if husband flirts outside and ill treats at home, she will definitely may go mad.

    Since the past few months, we have been witnessing innumerable such incidents as also suicides by those belonging to the majority community. But the so called "protectors of that community/religion" are conspicuous by their deafening silence. When it comes to cattle theft, so called "love jihad", "insult to their religious sentiments" these people are at the forefront of making provocative statements and destroying the communal harmony of the society. But when women go missing or someone commits suicide due to financial hardship there is nobody to speak for them. Doesn't lending a helping a hand to these distraught people amount to protecting the religion? If people become victims of suicide, who will remain to practice the religion? I am reminded of the movie PK, where Aamir Khan says if we keep settling scores, then we will only be left with sandals. It is time for the citizens of this country to think - should we go by the words of these hypocrites or help each other so that we will witness a healthy society!

    The sanctity of marriage is at stake, the marital oath like the Hippocrates oath has gone for a toss! Young, good looking, working women come across so many attractive and financially well off men in comparison to their daily wager, weak hubby, that they fall for in no time and they have littlest of inhibition in flying off with him sans the consequences! Incidentally, just recently, I had a talk with a medical shop owner about the large stock of jumbo Condom packets on display right in front; I was surprised when he said that the demand is do high that it'll get sold in ten days and he gets very good margins on that; from that I could gauge what is going on in our society, how we are evolving, and who could be using them for such a large quantity to get sold?? Ofcourse, there could be other reasons too, but money and 'funtimes' have long overtaken sanctity of the marital oath! It's not at all uncommon to see call center employees carrying rubber in their vanity bags! The above is a very generic, and personal opinion and not specific to this or any other incidents, based on my personal observation and feedback from various people!

    The sanctity of marriage life is at stake.....marriage oaths have no values ...exactly true. Marriage happens between the two. That means its not correct to blame only wife and is solely responsible for the breakdown. You are saying young, beautiful girls/ladies come across well to do men. Ok. Same way, why cant be vice o versa ? Educated/rich/well to do men, do not come across ladies outside their marriage life inspite of having well educated/god fearing/understanding wives at home ? Ladies carry rubbers you say (actually, i didnt understand the exact meaning of that word "rubber"). The way you wrote it sounds like pertaining to biological needs. If so, to whom are these ladies go ? Men right ? Who entice them ? Men right ? Nen can stay far away from females. That time so called rubber bands will see the place of dustbin. Men, who cant look after his wives should not marry....

As far as i know, parents of higly qualified or highly earning children are not looking out for the proposal of daily wage earner man.....Never.....

    Many marriages are becoming burdened embraces for couples who undergo trauma arising out on everyday basis... Few spill out like this unable to take it anymore... Expectations of modern life are far too much to handle for the newly weds when they get into practical life together... Sweet fragrances fade far too quickly and as they say lasting marriages are all about accommodating mutual odors... But this way is better than ending lives... Let go and move on... But nothing is mentioned about kids if any and that is a matter of concern...
