Mangaluru, Sep 1: Home Minister Araga Jnanendra on Thursday inspected Gold Finch city venue for Prime Minister Narendra Modi's event which is scheduled for September 2.

He was accompanied by MP Nalin Kumar Kateel, MLA Dr Bharath Y Shetty and district in-charge minister Sunil Kumar.

Speaking to media persons, Home Minister Araga Jnanendra said, “Prime Minister Narendra Modi will land at the Mangalore International Airport at 12:30 pm. Mangaluru Police have beefed up security measures for the prime minister’s visit. The DGP and ADGP will also be in the city for purpose of security. Close to 3000 police personnel have been deployed which includes ANF, CAR, DAR, RAF, KSRP to ensure that there are no lapses in security.

ADGP law and order Alok Kumar also instructed the Police about the policing required during the prime ministers visit.

He also said, “Everyone should be checked without being rude to them. If anyone found is found carrying objectionable materials for the event they will be stopped from entering the event. Make sure that in every block there will be police with a camera to keep an eye on the people who are suspicious and mischievous.”

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate 8 projects worth over Rs 3,800 crore. There will be traffic diversion in 9 junctions of the city and 15 parking places have been identified for the visitors including VVIPs and guests during the PM's visit. More than a lac people are expected to gather for the event.

Any President or Prime minister irrespective of political affiliation, religion etc should be welcomed with open arms ( No Do Guz Doori required) , so also for any person of eminence. You need not do it it person but through letter and spirit. If you cannot welcome him(or her- if I don't write "her" - someone will pounce on me) in your physical home welcome him in your "Dil Ke Darbar Me"...

I don't understand y so much security by disturbing public like diverting traffic whole day, he is coming for official visit to start 3000++ cr of investment in mlore that means its a real proud moment for mloreans... if the pm is doing such a wonderful job why the authorities scared off..?? Is he done any harm to people of India ...? 🇮🇳 our one day live hood is effected many industrialist will not able to go to their factories at Baikampady..!! It's a strange moment... many people will spend extra on fuel by roaming arround different routes to reach their workplaces... but mangaloreans r happy atleast 10% roads r repaired like airport road and kuloor road after many years... I am eager to see Rs 15 = 1usd V/s Rs 80 = 1usd tomorrow.. gud luck PM..

If not the tax ask him to make the income tax return filing process simpler, this time I had to spend one full day for each return in the family -form 16a, form 26as, Annual information statement, taxpayers information statement, wrong prefilled forms etc etc have to be cross checked by us ( and someone else get paid for it)...

Dear Dr. He knows very well. Let him impose. Be thankful to god, we indians are much luckier than other countries like where you work, canada, pakistan and so on. Atleast, people can live happily ...sigh of relief on everyones place. In our India, no one is poor. All poor ppl have good bank balances only acting poor brcause they need govt facilities. Govt lifted them up in every fields. Look at the malls, hotels, pubs, BARS, trsnsport ....theaters....filled with people.....do you think thry go without money.
