Bengaluru: Free electricity to SC, ST – State government withdraws order

Bengaluru, Sep 5: The state BJP government has withdrawn the order which was taken out in connection with providing 75 units of free electricity to SC and ST people below poverty line.

The department said that the order is withdrawn in order to do update the same. The circular was issued on August 24.

The circular contained the viewing and inspection of applications submitted by the consumers, sending the same to L1 officers of subdivision level for inspection. One time inspection of applications of new consumers on Suvidha portal and inspection of monthly information.

Now the department says that the order is withdrawn.

    Government considers giving essential things to marginalized people as burden on economy. But spending lakhs of crores on advertisement is not burden on economy. This is what happens when you choose wrong person as a leader. Priority has been changed from peoples welfare to self luxury.

Nobody takes care of other peoples money as well as they take care of their own -Milton Friedman. //////No govt. can give anything freeeeee because at the end of the day every citizen including the beneficiary has to pay for it by way of taxes.////Govt.'s are paupers they live off taxes from citizens./// Only those able bodied persons - who despite best efforts (not those who wish to sit and eat for free) are not able to attain a pre-determined(by govt. laws) economic level and those who are unable to work due to feebleness or due to not being able bodied must be supported economically by the govt. /// If the govt. is generating surplus revenue that it can distribute away by way of freebies then it means that that govt. is looting its people and trying to look good by giving back to some citizens what it has robbed from honest citizens.

    Stop all these nonsense freebees to purchase votes instead provide jobs to everyone and teach them to earn their living. Provide subsidised education and health care and assistance to only the disabled, handicapped, old and sick, small children where required. All these freebees are the root cause of corruption at all levels and government is promoting this at the cost of honest tax payers. What is the meaning of atmanirbhar......!!!!!
