Udupi: Fisherman dies after accidentally falling into sea

Udupi, Sep 5: A fisherman who was working in the Kanni Parti of Malpe fishing port accidentally slipped and fell into the sea and died.

The deceased is identified as Purandara who used to work at Hanuma Nidhi Kanni Party. He fell into the sea while unloading fish from boat at around 10.45 pm on Sunday September 4.

Diving expert Eshwar Malpe arrived at the spot immediately and fished out the mortal remains from the sea. Though Purandara was taken to district hospital, the doctors declared him brought dead.

Purandara was native of Thottam and was working in Kanni parti since 10 years.
