Ballari: Parents place mortal remains of son in salt to bring him to life

Daijiworld Media Network – Ballari (MS)

Ballari, Sep 6: In a heart-wrenching incident that is reported from Sirivara village in the district, parents of a 10-year-old boy, who drowned and breathed his last, placed his body in salt in the belief that he will come to life again.

On Monday, September 5, Suresh, drowned and died. His parents rushed to the spot as soon as they got the news of his drowning. They had seen a clip on social media in which it was said that if the dead body is kept in salt for some hours, the person will come to life again. So they immediately bought five bags of salt and covered the dead boy in salt except his head.

Though they waited for five hours, the boy did not spring back to life. Finally, the parents accepted the fact that their son is no more and held his final rites.

In certain Part of India people still believe in their oldfashioned beliefs and rituals.I had seen by last three years back ,by full moon or eclipse ,they had kept the boy full upto the neck covered with sand thinking he will be healed ,by some problems. He was begging to take out as he couldnt breath, but parents were merciless.Later some passants informed police and released by them.Foolish beliefs. He was physically not in a stage to walk.

If at all 'God' would bring the dead person back to life, why in the first instance ' God' has to take some ones life that too an innocent kid ? Have faith in God but never ask god to make a miracle. God knows what is good and bad, and we cannot demand but hope & pray for the best.

However and whatever limitless faith or trust or belief one has in god....God cannot do miracle and bring back the dead body into life forget praying for 5 hours or 15 hours. God will not perform miracle. Whatever is there in our destiny, it will happen. God is one way or medium to have trust/faith and belief for humans satisfaction. There are atheists....they too live in this world. Among them, good/bad/birth/death/joys/sufferings likewise issues are there..which present in non athiests too.....!!!!

Holy Scripture says Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse those who have leprosy, drive out demons. Freely you have received; freely give. But looks like Unfortunately Birds of same feather flock together ?

@ Daniel, Mangalore "Instead of putting salt and waiting, knelt and prayed for 5 hours as prophet bajinder singh does and called him back, God would have shown mercy and would have brought him back to life! as nothing impossible to God!" Those parents who believed in some way to have son back to life was out of their anxiety, Love and ever lasing desire and of course their faith in God but being an educated person you expressing something which I feel you ignorance that a dead person has gone for ever to Rest in peace.

For God there is no death, All are living either in heaven, hell, purgatory or on earth, as soul is eternal. After physical death, body the box goes to dust but soul remains for ever in one of the above places after the judgement. Upto 3 days soul can remain near the body then for its judgement till then one has chance to bring him back with prayers! and God willing. If a soul enjoys heaven may not come back only those who see horrors of hell likely to come back for a second life.

Heartbreaking! The loss of a child is enough for any parent to lose their mind. And when it comes to the matters of heart, no amount of logic or sense can actually bear fruit. May his parents find the solace to deal with their monumental loss! Peace be with them! I request everyone not to poke fun at these parents. They may be from a small village, a city, rich or poor, but in grief, we must show our humanity. Else, we are no better than vultures.

God is full of life. He wouldn't call 10 year old so early! It's Satan who is destroying the life, means one own fault or others like in case of reckless accidents. In this case may be boy didn't listen to his parents advise went for swimming or went further than his capacity... But, God allows, so many to learn from such incidents.

I agree with Daniel. It is the satan who has always destroyed the most beautiful creation of god that is man. If we pray God will restore it back to us. He is a merciful and loving God and he will give us anything if we give him the glory. I met with an accident years back and I had a head injury and people who witnessed it thought m dead ..my mother was praying for me in the monastery and she was not aware that I met with an accident but she was praying for me as she always did. And I saved without any fractures or any disability and just as normal as ever except 6 sutures on my head which healed. It's all faith and prayers.

These type of magical rituals are ingrained in religions and propogated by dubious characters to the gullible public for personal gains! Wonder why some rational minded person did not advise them about the foolishness of this ritual!

That shows what is the worth, Love and value of ones own child. Their hopes superseded any scientific or medical possibilities in the world ! We cannot criticise such act. R.IP.
