Udupi: 65-year-old woman hit by bus while crossing road on NH-66, dies

Udupi, Sep 8: A 65-year-old woman died after she was hit by a bus on the NH-66 while she was trying to cross the road in Amruth Garden of Puttur village's Ambagili.

The deceased woman is Vasanthi Shetty, a resident of Hebri Chara village.

Vasanthi was on a visit to Amruth Garden to attend a marriage function and by the time she could reach the road median an Udupi-bound bus coming from Kundapur hit her resulting in serious injuries to her head, hands and limbs. She was immediately rushed to a hospital but she breathed her last before she could reach the hospital.

Udupi traffic police have registered a case.
