Female teacher consumes liquor in Tumakuru school, caught red-handed

Tumakuru, Sep 9: A female teacher of a government primary school was caught red handed while teaching children after consuming liquor in the classroom itself.

Gangalaxmamma, who is working as teacher in the Chikkasarangi primary school of the taluk since 25 years, is the teacher who is accused of consuming liquor and then taking classes in an inebriated state. It is said that she is addicted to alcohol for the past five years.

The education officer inspected the school while the teacher was teaching after consuming liquor. On checking, liquor bottles were found in the drawer of the table belonging to the teacher. Police confiscated the bottles.

    Intoxicating spirits help induce power for short periods. For singing, acting, fielding during matches, operations, many manual works etc etc. There are lots of stories of eminent performers in this regard. Many call it a KICK. Not sure about it in a classroom though.

    When we were elementary students we had teacher with drinking habits... Students bought liquor also at her behest, of course she paid... But she was a very good teacher... This story reminds me of that... Always we should not read the story and conclude... She may have a pain which she might be trying to mitigate spiritually...

    She must be under severe stress or depression as most of the teachers go through. Dont make it a big news and defame her. Having said that drinking alcohol on duty is wrong on her part. She might have consumed it at home after duty
