Kasargod: Body of Belagavi-based worker found on roadside at Pavoor

Kasargod, Sep 9: The lifeless body of a Belagavi-based worker was found on the roadside at Pavoor, Manjeshwara in the morning on September 9. The deceased was identified as Basappa (63).

Local people who came across the body on Soofinagar roadside, Pavoor alerted the Manjeshwara station police.





Basappa was brought from Mangaluru two days ago by a person from Soofinagar for work at his cultivation. The worker used to sleep after work on the veranda of the farm house. His dead body was found on Friday morning, Sep 9 about 150 metres away from the house. There were injury marks and blood clots on his body. The knife used to cut grass was found nearby.

Manjeshwar police performed an inquest and sent the body for post-mortem to the Kannur medical college hospital.
