Kundapur: Court grants bail to accused involved in several temple thefts

Kundapur, Sep 10: Karunakar Devadiga, an accused in several temple theft cases including Maravanthe temple and temple under Kollur police station limits, was granted bail by the chief civil and first grade bailiff court of the town.

The CCTV of the temple captured the accused going inside the temple at Maravanthe after breaking the lock with a sickle. Karunakara Devadiga had given a confessional statement after his arrest of having stolen items from other temples also.

Lawyers K M Ilyas and Mullikatte Charanraj Mendon argued for the accused.

    perfect election candidate for Blue JP. within few months he got bail. tomorrow everyone will do the same thinking that its easy to get bail. bail amount is less than what he has stolen value. so no regret.

    External thief is caught and released on bail... What about the internal thieves???... Devadiga's sins may be readily forgiven by God upon sincere apology... But the gomukhavyaghras seen across religions as bachelor pontiffs haunt innocents in the name of God... While teaching the way to heaven to devotees, they may head straight to sizzling wok in so called hell...
