Bantwal, Sep 10: “Everybody in the society is being uplifted. Several packages are provided to the gram panchayat and more demands will be met as far as possible in the future. A primary health centre will be opened at Kedila,” said Puttur MLA Sanjeeva Matandoor.
He was speaking after laying the foundation for Jal Jeevan mission, inaugurating several development works and free medical check-up camp here on September 10.
“The government at the centre is always responding to the basic needs of people. Roads, school buildings and Anganwadis are being developed without break. There is a Raitha Vidyanidhi scheme for children of farmers to bring about progress in education,” he said.
The MLA felicitated Secretary Dinesh Kumar who was transferred from Kedila gram panchayat to Ullal taluk.
Gram panchayat president Jayanti Dhananjay Shetty, vice president Umesh Muruva and Mani heath centre medical officer Dr Shashikala were present.
Mani gram panchayat development officer M Buvanendra Kumar welcomed. Gram panchayat vice president Umesh Muruva rendered a vote of thanks. Gopalakrishna Bhat compered the programme.
