Bantwal, Sep 12: Prestigious SVS College was suspended from the PU college kabaddi tournament by the PU education board as the college authorities included non-students in their team.
This shameful incident occurred in the PU colleges taluk level kabaddi tournament that was held at Siddakatte Gunashree Vidyalaya campus.
When the SSLC marks cards of the partaking players in the team of SVS were verified through the office of DDPI of PU education department it came to light that the players fielded by SVS College were not their students at all. So the team was disqualified.
In the kabaddi match that was held between SVS and Alike college teams, Alike team lost. They raised objection on SVS team that the players are not from their college. So the SATS number of students who were fielded in the game were verified. It came to light that five students were not students of SVS. So the DDPI ordered the team to be disqualified.
