Puttur: Students of St Philomena PU College excel at Rotoquiz Inter Collegiate Quiz Competition

Puttur, Sep 12: Edsel Shannen D'Souza (II PCMB 'D') and Sinchana T(II PCMB 'B') of St Philomena PU College, Puttur showcased their brilliance in the preliminary round by rapidly answering the questions in the Rotoquiz Inter Collegiate Quiz Competition- Mangaluru Round for the 63rd Ramnarayan Chellaram Shield. There were 72 teams and our students emerged out with the second place and were awarded with a trophy and a cash prize of Rs 7000/-. The competition was organized by Rotary Club of Bengaluru in association with Rotary Club of Mangaluru. It was held on September 11 at SDM PG for Management Studies and Research Centre, Conference Hall, Mangaluru.

The students were guided by Bharath G Pai (department of Statistics).

The correspondent, Fr Lawrence Mascarenhas, the campus director of St Philomena Institutions, Fr Stany Pinto, the principal, Fr Ashok Rayan Crasta and the staff members congratulated the winners and the following students for activity participating in the competition:

Samrudhi S Rai (II SEBA 'B'),Prafulla Jyotsna Noronha (II SCBA),Varon Lewis (II SEBA 'B') Darshan (II SEBA 'B'),Srinivas Hegde M (II PCMC) and Mohammad Ziauddin (II PCMC).
