Udupi: Padubidri incident- One admitted to hospital, says 7 men attacked him

Udupi, Feb 27: A youth has been admitted to Ajjarakad government hospital with injuries on Monday, February 26. He has informed the police that he was attacked by seven men on Sunday, February 25.

Munaf from Yellur is the person injured.

Munaf has claimed that he was travelling to Padubidri from Yellur when he was intercepted by seven men. He has named Kiran, Sharan and Prasad as three among the seven men.

Munaf said that he managed to run away from the attackers. But he did not contact police till he was admitted to hospital. Munaf visited the hospital after he developed chest pain.

After a truck driver was assaulted on Saturday, Hindu activists protested in front of Padubidri police station demanding arrest of assaulters. The protest continued even on Sunday. Police later arrested one person believed one of the culprits.

In a related incident, Hindu activists damaged the light on the gate of Mudarangady mosque on Sunday.

Police have taken precautionary measures in and around Padubidri to avoid untoward incidents.

So just to be fair, now the hindu activists should hold a massive protest and demand that the police arrest the seven who attacked Munaf. That way, they can show that they are against all forms of criminal activities.

I think Mr. Jagdish is not accepting the truth. Dear, please underswtand the situatin and dont go behind blind sanghis. They are agitating for no issues and attack innocents. Seven person attacking with lathis plus weapns on a single unarmed person is shame and Police should arrests these under goonda act.

    @ Rajesh...,

... hold on.., let me quote ....,

" ...... but you desperately want to believe the story..LOL....." or let me continue to express the obvious which you are interested in that .....,
"desperately you want to ignore the fact by maligning the truth & the hidden intention of the 7 alleged ( & misguided Hindustani youths)....!!!!"

chest pain definitely caused by the probably ill & evil intention of the 7 youths.....??? (in fact the running to escape to save the life is a hillarious task & there is an iota of truth & reason to get medical attention first instead of reaching the law enforcement agencies....!!!!

    lol.....,
