Lucknow, Apr 27 (DHNS): All that this 80-year-old man asked his grandson’s wife was an early lunch, but she dished out a sound thrashing and even tried to put a stick inside his mouth when he cried for help.
The incident took place on Tuesday at Gopalpur village in Uttar Pradesh, and came to light after a neighbour posted the video of the harassment on social media.
The video shows Panchoo crawling on the road, trying to fend off the blows and begging Savitri with folded hands, but she continues to kick and hit him with the stick.
Reports stated that Savitri did not want to look after an old man, who is not in good health and requires regular care. It is said that Panchoo had transferred all his wealth to his daughter Israwati Devi.
Savitri was arrested on Wednesday and a case of attempt to murder and torture has been lodged.
