Udupi: Prakhyath Shetty, Jayashree Krishnaraj take charge of Congress backward classes unit

Udupi, Oct 18: District Congress vice-president Prakhyath Shetty and former member of Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee Jayashree Krishnaraj were appointed as the in-charge of district Congress backward classes unit by district Congress president K Gopal Poojary.

The appointment was made after a delegation of different Congress units led by Rajya Sabha member Oscar Fernandes met at Congress Bhavan recently.


Prakhyath Shetty

Prakhyath Shetty is an active leader in many unions. He is the former vice-president of Thenkanidiyur gram panchayat, president of District Bunts Association, Udupi, in-charge of Sumukha artiste team, in-charge in Veera Maruthi Gym. He has involved in several social and religious activities and is an active member in co-operative and educational organisations.


Jayashree Krishnaraj

Jayashree Krishnaraj is a senior leader of Congress. She was a former member of KPCC and former general secretary of Karnataka Pradesh Mahila Congress. She is presently serving in many organisations like Lions Club and some women’s organizations. She has also served as member in the City Municipality Council.
