Udupi: Devotees walk chanting bhajans, prayers from Alevoor to Kunjaru temple

Udupi, Mar 15: Nearly three hundred devotees went on procession by walk chanting Bhajans and prayers from Alevoor Durgaparameshwari temple to Kunjaru Durgadevi temple on recently.

The procession started from Alevoor temple at 6.30 am and reached Kunjarugiri temple at 9 am.

Temple head of Adamaru math Vishwapriya Theertha Sripada said, “All the fathers want their children look after them. As children of Alevoor Amma came by walk to Kunjaramma, let the deity bless us so that our children may look after us in our old age. We intend that our devotion should be towards the almighty. Such programmes should be held every year together with the participation of many more devotees.”

president Gurukiran Acharya, office bearers of organizations in Alevoor Harish Ballal, Prabhaker Bhat, Bhasker Sherigar, Srikanth Rao, former panchayat president Harish Sherigar, district mahila morcha president Nayana Ganesh and others were present.

Kunjarugiri temple manager Rajendra Rao welcomed. Alevoor gram panchayat president Srikanth Nayak rendered the vote of thanks.
