Mangaluru: 40-year-old held for impregnating minor

Mangaluru, May 22: Yogeesh alias Harish (40) from Kuppepadavu near Gurpur was arrested by police personnel of Bajpe station on Monday May 21. He has been booked under the provision of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act.

As per information, Harish had cajoled the girl in question into cooperating with him. As he developed sexual relationship with her, the girl became pregnant. After this issue came to the fore, he visited the police station and tried to convince the police personnel about his innocence in the case.

However, the girl's family later filed an official complaint, accusing Harish of the offence. Based on the complaint, he stands arrested.
