Bantwal: Bajrang Dal activist Shashikumar Bhat, Abdul Haris arrested for illegal cattle transport

Bantwal, Jul 27: Two persons including a Bajrang  Dal activist have been arrested by the Vittal police for illegally transporting cattle in inhumane way here at Kadambu on Thursday July 26.

The arrested are Shashikumar (48), son of Krishna Bhat, a resident of Padaru in Vittal Padnur village and Abdul Haris(21) from Mannagadde Kathathila in Kolnadu village.

Shashikumar is a Bajrang Dal activist.

Haris is said to be involved in another cattle theft case. He is facing several cases at Konaje police station.

The value of the cattle is said to be more than Rs 5 lacs.

The police team led by Nagaraj H E on receiving credible information arrested the duo on Thursday night.

    The BD guys deserves to be hanged for this. Atleast now people here are agreeing to the fact that cattle stealing is rampant otherwise most people seem to dismiss the fact that people are loosing cattle to these bandits. No matter which religion they are from, people stealing cattle should be severely punished. You cannot take away someones livelihood. there is a legal channel for obtaining beef. Use that and dont blindly say its your birth right to eat any cattle that is roaming on the face of this earth.

    All over india to protect cows Government made so much budget and given to the state government.
    government built so many gao shalas but some places the cows are dying without food. i.e. today in Rajasthan more than 30 cows died because of food and water. Some jobless are lynching people in the name cow and arrested and left on bail. Please give them life time punishment to look after these cows which are dying and these cow protectors only want to lynch the public on showing that they cow protectors?.     Cows were sold & bought freely without any problem in olden days. There was no trafficking, theft etc etc. there was free trade. Since the started business out of cow for VoTE bank all real time problems started. People were selling & buying cows either for breeding or for slaughter without any hindrance. Hindus never bothered about the cows. When find it difficult to get enough votes they started playing with peoples sentiments & converted the cows into atomic bombs. It is well known to everybody in coastal districts that if you pay hafta to BD members then you can transport cows to slaughter houses without any fear. So these gangs are nothing but goonda gangs who are into cow mafia, sand mafia etc etc. Wake up and open your eyes to the true fact. If someone transports cows for their dairy farming they do not transport them in these conditions. So here the fact is very clear that these cows are actually meant for slaughter.
