Bantwal, Sep 28: Unidentified miscreants demolished a Mother Mary grotto at Kulal near Kolnadu in Bantwal taluk and installed buntings there.

The grotto belongs to Vijayadka Church

As per details available, the grotto was demolished by miscreants on Thursday night of September 27. The miscreants installed some idols in addition to the buntings.


Present situation

The grotto was constructed in 1970 as per the decision of Vijayadka parish council. .

Vittal police have registered case and investigation is going on.

    Chief Minister , Home Minister and the incharge Minister should instruct the SP and the Vittal Police officers to arrest immediately those goonda, jobless fanatic miscreants and give them srtingent punishment. Immoral policing should be banned and peace and tranquility should be restored. Christians are peace loving people.     @Critic mangalore whoom you will punish without knowing?Second when he/she was drunk,and done ,they have done under alcohol consum they will say.It looks not a very big loss ,(I just cant estimate the cost)Thatswhy simply forget it,it doesnt worth .Thatswhy throwout what they have installed there ,burn it,and simply do as if nothing happened.They will later understand we are not to move.When the person is caught ,then ask him to help to restore it as punishment.Weknow from previous experience,our own communiy persons were indulged in destroying the religious things so why not this time too?

    Moral Policing, Love Jehad, attack on Minorities and their places of worship is the narrative that communal forces employ before elections to polarise voters. Nothing new except that this narrative has become stale and does not impress anyone.

    I am sure Karnataka and South India will give a befitting lesson to these communal forces in the next general elections.

    The Karnataka Police is most efficient as we have witnessed with the SIT that has cracked the Gauri Lankesh murder. I am sure they will be able to trace out these culprits and book them under the Goonda Act.

    We need liberation from uncivilized miscreants. These are illiterate goondas and need to be booked as such. If Grotto gudis are on road side, its fair the government relocate them. Or else please clear the road side trees, kattes, gudis. shrines and kanike dabbis. We live in a religious society and not idols society.     Ravi, Paul, your statement is logical however please come out of it and think positive. It is for God to punish & not for us to decide or Judge. If we also will be happy if they are cursed or punished then we are not worse than them. It only shows that we are only religious and not spiritual.
    God wants All souls to be saved hence He paid the price on the Cross. There are many incidents where similar people who went against God turned back after some time & started working for the same God. Hence just pray for them.
    Yes it is sad incident but use it as a spiritual weapon rather than disappointment.
