Funeral cortege leaves residence Near Kadri Tollgate for St. Sebastian Church, Bendoor, on Wednesday January 8 at 4.00 pm. followed by public homage at 4.30 p.m. Mass at 5.00 pm.

I would like to express my sincere, heartfelt sympathy to all the members of the family of our beloved Prof. Alban Castelino. He was a gift of God to mankind. I am grateful to God for having given him a long fulfilled life with his scientific, cultural and social contribution to the society of Mangalore. Throughout my studies as well as my work in the German Universities, his notes which I carried with me from Mangalore were not only my constant companion but also very much admired by the German University Staff. It was a real privilege to be a student of such a noble professor. May his soul rest in peace.

I am just shocked to hear about the sudden demise of Prof. Alban Castelino. He was not only my physics professor at St. Aloysius in I PUC and II PUC, but also my neighbour in Kadri.
Heartfelt condolences to Mrs Castelino, Annette, Oscar, Noel, Denzil and your families.
I salute Prof. Alban Castelino who was not only a great teacher but also a music enthusiast, a writer, a choir master and above all a wonderful human being.

With Alban Mestri's passing, the Mangalorean Catholic community, more particularly, we Bendoreans have lost yet another great person. He was simplicity personified. Always helpful towards others. Well respected and loved by his colleagues at St.Aloysius College, among his students and generally by all those who came in contact with him. He was energetic and used to walk from Kadri Toll Gate to the College but of late one could observe advancing age taking its
toll.
We condole the bereaved family and pray Almighty to grant him eternal rest.

When ever u called to visit the aided family u were waiting on main road before time. Also at the time of Annual collection if no one is there you have told me don't worry I will come along with u. U did that. U have done so much selfless charity work in other fields also. You are really a great master.
