In day to day life, in the midst of office work, family commitments and the present day pressure, we face numerous occasions which can be termed as hilarious. Needless to say, each one of us, would have faced such occasions and here I am penning a few such incidents which must be read in a lighter note.
Those were Charming Twin brothers aged 4, from our neighbourhood family, reporting to the same school in the same bus, same class and thee same routine every day. However, during the bi monthly teacher - parent session, the mother was perturbed to hear that one of the twins was always coming late by 20 minutes. She could not understand how this could be. Since the answer was not forthcoming, she decided to follow her twins to the school the next day. Charming you may say, the twin who was always late, was taking care of another girl of the same age, and reaching her to her class which was on a different block within the campus, prior to making way to his own class. What a sacrifice!

I fell sick and was ordered complete rest. Three of my office staff, decided that they must come to my apartment to pay respect. They knew the building, but not the apartment number. Their hope was, they would call me on my mobile and get the apartment. To their bad luck, I was sleeping with mobile on silent mode. They were lost, with hundreds of flats around in our building. One of them, took to heart my last week's Sales Pitch on the subject as he said to me later 'Thinking out of the Box'. He called the office and asked one of the guys to download my photo in his mobile. With the ammunition that he gained, he went on in the building asking of anyone knows 'this person' . After a dozen negative replies, one person did recognise me and gave them my apartment number. The visit was sober, but once they departed from our residence, half a dozen from our building came to my apartment to see if everything was in order. They had suspected that some CID team had come to investigate me!

This incident happened when our six-year-old nephew visited us from Muscat with his parents recently. I would fondly call him Jadoo boy and he started calling me Jadoo Uncle. While serving soft drinks such as Coca Cola or Pepsi, he refused to accept it, claiming he wants Jadoo Uncle water since my drinks were mixed with 7 Up and transparent in colour. Upon getting the first glass of pure 7 Up, he said I know you are cheating and not giving me what you drink (which obviously was a mixed drink). Observation from present day kids!

As our English professor approached the board and started the class, this was what he found written on the board by lady students:
'Woman: Without her, Man is nothing'. Professor just read it, and changed a coma:
'Woman without her Man, is nothing'.

When my teenager niece visited us here is Dubai, obviously she was hyper. As soon she was out of the lift, and until she reached our apartment door, she danced and danced without realising that the CCTV in the corridor had captured the entire scene.
