One fine day, three ants were on their way looking for food. They climb onto a man who was taking a nap. One of the ants was on his forehead declaring that they are on a desert land finding nothing to eat there. Another ant went into the hair of the man and stated that it was a bushy area and hard to find something to eat. Finally, the third ant with anxiety warned the other ants to be careful and come down from him. It’s neither a desert nor a bush, but a human being who is more powerful and well-built and can harm them if he wakes up from his sleep. However, the two ants mocked the final ant stating that they are much more worried about the collection of the food and this ant is talking without sense. Suddenly, the man woke up feeling some irritation on his head. Thumping the place where the ants were, he killed the
two ants.
If we just meditate on the above narrative for a while, let us place the man in the ant’s place and nature in the man’s place. We cannot assume the power of nature. We have moved ahead with technology and nothing is impossible for man. However, we should know that it is the wisdom given to us by the divine to do all these marvellous things.
But what is gone wrong in the current status? We have assaulted nature in such a way that nature too has no option left but to take revenge. How long it will persist with patience. Humans forget the power of nature like the ants in the story and fall into huge trouble. Nature is given to the human to make use of it and not to misuse it. Our greed is so much that we not only wish to fulfil our wishes but become more selfish. Why should we be worried about accumulating funds for the next generation? Rather, let us protect and cherish the beauty of nature for the coming generation. Let them earn on their own and know the effort and endeavour.
We can see the current crisis of COVID-19, floods, earthquakes and other diseases and responsible for this is we ourselves. We looted the nature in such a way that nothing is left out. If we take a small example, the coastal area of seas, full of sand, and we accumulate the area thinking that why can’t we make of use it? But remember, during the rainy season the sea of course takes back its area as it does belong to it. Sea is the creation of God and we don’t have the right to overtake as God has created the land for human beings.
Let us surrender to nature and come back to reality and respect nature and of course, nature will save us. We must respect God.
