Without doubt, the driver deserves condign punishment. This mishap did not take place due to his fault. As per the reports, he drove the bus on the wrong side. He broke the rules and now the police need to break his back. Break the back to such an extent that it serves as a warning to the other drivers who have absolutely no consideration towards pedestrians or passengers. The drivers and conductors of the private buses consider it as their right to behave the way they are behaving. For the sake of the people, show no mercy on this killer. He has snuffed out the life of a young lady for no fault of hers.

MPs and MLAs irrespective of BJP and Congress have created a cartel along with these bus operators. How come we dont have a decent train connectivity with udupi to Kasargod via Mangalore. So many people commute during morning times. Cant they arrange a passenger train between udupi and Mangalore to ease the rush in private busses.

Reckless driving by bus, auto and two wheeler drivers, half of the road occupied by illegally parked vehicles, incomplete road works, potholes etc... are contributing to the accidents and deaths. The sad and frustrating thing is despite all this havoc, the city traffic police department as well as civic works department is in deep sleep...!

The loose rules makes the offender walk free after a few weeks. This was a preventable mishap, the death of the poor girl was due to the wrong side driving. Stringent punishments should bring the wreck less drivers to their kneels.
