Daijiworld Media Network – Mangaluru (ANK)

Mangaluru Dec 17: Former chief minister Siddaramaiah said that chief minister (CM) Basavaraj Bommai is encouraging moral policing incidents which is on the rise in Mangaluru.

He was speaking at the Mangaluru International Airport on Saturday December 17.

He also said, “So far 8 moral policing incidents have been reported in Mangaluru and I condemn them. There has to be stringent action taken against moral policing and such incidents are against the law. I have no idea whether the CM has knowledge about the law. Police exist to maintain law and order. The government should not allow such activities to take place.”

Responding to the backlash received for D K Shivakumar statement over cooker blast case, Siddaramaiah said, “The BJP are manipulating the statement made by Shivakumar and spreading false information among people. The BJP is misusing the cooker blast case for political gain.”

Responding to the allegation of the BJP that terrorism activities were on the rise during Congress’ tenure, Siddaramaiah said, “When we have a double engine government, let the BJP curb terrorism activities. Was it not possible for the BJP in the last 9 years? That is why they have been voted to power right? Instead of that, the BJP are diverting the minds of people by emotionally provoking them.”
